THE FRITH SEAT (Kindle)
It’s the spring of 783, and people are being murdered in Eoforwic. That doesn’t mean much to Hring, recently an assistant advocate in Elmet, and currently a drunk who’s grieving the loss of his wife. When he is falsely accused of murder, he seeks refuge in the frith seat in the cathedral, and is given 40 days to make his peace with God – an entity he no longer believes in – before facing his unjust punishment. For Hring, it is 40 days he can use to hunt down the real killer and expose him.
